	Residents of 
	ThornHill Woods have access to an excellent system of parks, trails, 
	libraries and community centers maintained for their use by the City of 
	Vaughan. 
 The Dufferin Clark Library located at 1441 Clark Avenue West is open seven 
	days a week for every month of the year except July and August. The Bathurst 
	Clark Resource Library is also available for use by ThornHill Woods’s 
	residents seven days a week. Like the Dufferin Clark Library this facility 
	is closed on Sundays in July and August.
 
 ThornHill Woods’s hockey fans will love the Sports Village located at 
	2600 Rutherford Road. The Sports Village’s four NHL sized indoor hockey 
	rinks are available for use by youth and adult hockey leagues. The rinks can 
	also be used for training, figure skating and skating tournaments. Other 
	facilities available at the Sports Village include an outdoor park featuring 
	five beach volleyball courts, a thirty foot high rock climbing tower, 
	basketball courts designed for pickup games, an inline skating path that 
	converts to an ice skating rink in winter and baseball diamonds.
 
 ThornHill Woods’s residents with a competitive streak can join youth 
	and adult hockey and beach volleyball leagues at the Sports Village. The 
	Sports Village also features a full service restaurant and a sports store to 
	meet equipment needs of ThornHill Woods’s residents.
 
 The Uplands Golf and Ski Club at 46 Uplands Avenue operated by the City of 
	Vaughan provides ThornHill Woods resident with a nine hill golf 
	course in the summer and a ski and snow board area right in their backyard 
	in the winter.
 
 There are two nearby recreation facilities for use by ThornHill Woods 
	residents, the Rosemount Community Center at 1000 New Westminster Drive and 
	the Dufferin Clark Community Center at 1441 Clark Avenue West. Public 
	swimming pools in the ThornHill Woods area include the Garnet A. 
	Williams Pool at 501 Clark Avenue and the Dufferin Clark Pool at the 
	Dufferin Clark Community Center.
 
 ThornHill Woods’s residents have access to dozens of public parks 
	scattered throughout Thornhill. Facilities available at parks include tennis 
	courts, basketball courts, dog walking areas and green grass to walk or lay 
	upon.
 
 An extensive system of trails for walking, bicycle riding, dog walking and 
	running exists along the nearby Bartley Smith Greenway. The Bartley Smith 
	Greenway trails can be accessed from the Dufferin Clark Community Center and 
	the Vaughan Sports Village. These trails pass by several public parks and 
	provide a pleasant afternoon’s exercise and recreation for ThornHill
